The camp mission is to create confident, creative, and passionate players who develop a love for the game! We aspire for players to develop their skills while having fun and cultivating their talents in a safe and positive environment. Creating self-confident, motivated people and players is very important to us.
We want players to be themselves, and be self-expressive as soccer players and as people. This includes risk taking such as taking players on in 1v1 situations, as well as having confidence to shoot and score goals.
We encourage players to be talkative on the field as well, to communicate; such as asking for the ball, asking players to "turn", "step up", "man on", "mark up", as communication helps players stay engaged in the game, and bolsters a lively team mentality.
We want players to be active in the game in terms of off the ball movement, always having a role in the game (Making runs, supporting players, getting up for attack, and dropping to help defend).
Overall, the camp experience for each player is very important to us. We have a player-centered approach that emphasizes developing the individual player, including their confidence as well as technical skill. We want all players to feel safe and valued and that we care about them as players and as people.
We plan for the player/coach ratio to be 12 to 1 or less, to ensure individual development.
“Fernando was great. He came prepared with a workout plan for my son based on the background I had provided. The session was chock full of skills and drills and my son responded very favorably to him and worked hard. We will definitely look to work with Fernando again.”
“Highly recommended! My boys have been practicing with David Light for years and he is absolutely their favorite. The trainings are fun, personable and so helpful with their soccer skills development. Moreover, David has managed to really create a bonding family atmosphere out of their team which we love and appreciate a ton. All the kids just love him.”
“Coach David is amazing, both my 8 year old and 12 year old boys have done multiple camps with him and we really liked his balance between keeping things fun, teaching skills and instilling a passion for soccer.” - De
